William Tutko

Rockaway Twp:  William Tutko passed away on Thursday, August 17, 2023 peacefully at his home, with his family at his side.  He was 89 years of age.

William was born and raised in Wilkes-Barre, PA and moved to Dover after the Army, settling in Rockaway Township 47 years ago.

He was a Korean War Army veteran.

Mr. Tutko worked at Picatinny Arsenal as a Calibration Technician, retiring in 1993 after 42 years of service.  He then retired again after 20 years working at the Picatinny Golf Club.

He was a lifelong member of the Holy Trinity Orthodox Church, Picatinny Golf Club and the American Legion Post #164 of Hackettstown.

He was a true NY Yankee fan and enjoyed spending time with his family, especially his grandchildren.

Survived by his wife Mary (née Meeks) of 57 years.

Two Daughters:  Kathleen Barr and husband Scott.

                                  Kristen Forsythe and husband Todd.

Six Grandchildren:  Matthew, Frankie, Nicholas, Lauren, Carly & Marcello.

Brother:  Myron “Midge” Tutko and wife Martha.

Sister:  Myra Chervnsik.

Also survived by many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

Visitation will be held 10am-12pm on Tuesday, August 22, 2023 at the Holy Trinity Orthodox Church, 120 Dover Chester Rd, Randolph, NJ 07869.

A funeral service will be held 12 Noon at the church immediately after the visitation.

Interment will follow at Locust Hill Cemetery, Dover.

In lieu of flowers, donations in Bill’s memory to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital would be appreciated.
