Wharton: William Henry Frankle was born in Jersey City, NJ to Alma Fischbach Frankle and Henry Frankle on July 12, 1945. He attended Hasbrouck Heights schools in NJ, where he spent his formative years with his identical twin brother, Robert (deceased), and siblings: Dianna (deceased) and Dennis.
He proudly served in the military and the Vietnam War from 1963-1966 in the Naval Air on the USS Kitty Hawk as a jet engine mechanic, repairing A6A's.
During his career, Bill worked as a computer programmer for ITT Avionics in Clifton for 40 years starting out with the immense mainframe computers, and transitioning all the way to PC's before retiring in 2009.
Bill married Elaine Schaffer in 1977 - 1986, and Gale Pachella Frankle in 1990 - present. He has three children, Lauren, Megan and William whom he adored. He lived in Lincoln Park, NJ for a short time, and then settled in Wharton, NJ, where he has been living since 1986. Wharton is where he raised his family and was an active member of the Wharton Soccer Club. Bill also served on the board for Holy Trinity Lutheran Church in Rockaway, where he was an active participant for many years.
His true passion was his many years riding motorcycles as he traveled up and down the east coast of the United States and Canada on different Harleys, enjoying diverse trips with friends, his twin brother, and his nephew Bobby. His other enjoyment was traveling with his family, friends, and wife throughout the United States to the North Carolina Outer Banks, numerous National Parks and varied tourist sights along the way. He leaves behind many family, friends, and loved ones. His "quiet" demeanor will be missed by all.
