Jefferson Township
Virginia (Ginny) M. Zinn passed away peacefully on Monday, October 20, 2025 after a brief illness with Pancreatic Cancer. She was 83 years of age. She was born on December 14th 1941 to the late Irvin E. Herrick, Jr, and Loretta Gertrude Herrick in Staten Island, NY where she was raised. She graduated from Tottenville High School and started as a secretary at Touche, Niven, Baily & Smart until she married and moved to Lake Hopatcong, NJ where she raised her two daughters with her husband Bob.
Over the next years Virginia worked as a secretary for a Doctor’s office, animal hospital, child daycare center and finally spent most of her years with the Jefferson Township Board of Education as a secretary at Ellen T. Briggs School and Arthur Stanlick School until her retirement.
During her retirement Ginny enjoyed camping at Driftstone on the Delaware with her husband Bob. She was an amazing cook and baker. She loved to garden and especially her roses. Ginny was an avid Bowler and belonged to the Senior Bowling League in Sparta, NJ.
A lifelong lover of animals, she gave many dogs a loving home. She loved her last companion, a rescue, LadyBug.
Virginia is predeceased by her loving husband, Robert F. Zinn of 44 years and her beloved daughter, Linda Ann Zinn.
Virginia is survived by her beloved daughter, Lori-Ann E. Zinn.
Her beloved sister, Nancy Robinson and brother-in-law Michael Robinson.
Five nieces and nephews, Adam Robinson, his wife Naomi and two children, Samuel and Beatrice; Sean Robinson and his wife Christina; Jessica Sturm and her husband, Daniel and son Quentin; Georgia Ann Zibura and her son Michael; and Alexander Dungan.

Visitation will be held 6-8 pm on Monday, October 27, 2025 at the Bermingham Funeral Home, 216 S. Main St., Wharton.
A funeral service will be said at 11am on Tuesday, October 28, 2025 at the funeral home before proceeding to Locust Hill Cemetery for burial.
