Obituary

Mine Hill:   Virginia Monteiro passed away peacefully on June 11, 2022 at St. Clare’s Hospital in Dover.  She was 69 years of age.

Virginia was born and raised in Newark and has lived in Mine Hill for the last seven years.  She worked as a florist, owning and operating Greens N’ Things in Montclair and Bloomfield Florist.

She was predeceased by her husband Manuel Monteiro in 2018.

She is survived by 2 daughters; Michelle Crimmel and her husband Scott of Oakland and April Monteiro of Mine Hill, 2 grandsons; Wesley and Benjamin, and sister Betty Ellimo.

Visitation will be held 5-8pm on Wednesday June 15, at the Bermingham Funeral Home, 216 S. Main St., Wharton.  A Funeral Mass will be held 10am on Thursday at St. Mary’s Church in Wharton.  Interment will follow at Holy Cross Cemetery in North Arlington.
