Valarie A. (Latzen) Jacoby

Valarie A. Jacoby (Latzen) of Lake Hopatcong, NJ passed away on Saturday, April ,10th 2021, at the age of 72. Valarie was born July 21, 1948 in Sacramento, CA. The oldest of eight children.  She was born to her late parents Elizabeth (Burns) and Philip Latzen. Some of Valarie’s favorite pastime activities were knitting, crocheting, listening to her favorite musicians and of course spending time with her expanded family.

Valarie is survived by her husband of 50 years James W. Jacoby Sr, their children: daughter Erica, son James Jr. and his wife Kathy, daughter Michelle and her husband Jason Bradley, daughter Tiffany, and son Michael, and 6 grandchildren, Daniel, Jaden, Harley, Natasha, Rebecca and Heather.

Valarie enjoyed working where she could meet and talk to new people. Her favorite jobs were as a cosmetologist and retail work. Valarie was known for being able to strike up a conversation with anyone around her and always having a smile and good word to say about everyone. Family was important to Valarie; she was very proud of all the accomplishments of her children and her grandchildren.

Valarie will be greatly missed but she will forever live on in the cherished memories we will all continue to share about her.

A Memorial Visitation will be held 3-5pm on Saturday May 15, at the Bermingham Funeral Home, 216 S. Main St., Wharton.
