Theresa C. D’Atria, 88, of Dover, NJ passed quietly into God’s loving hands on March 3rd at the home of her daughter and son-in-law in Blacksburg, VA. Mrs. D’Atria was born in Queens, NY but moved to NJ 68 years ago. She lived in Wharton, Florida and returned to Rockaway where she has lived for the past 34 years. She worked in the Wharton School system as a classroom aide for 13 years. She was an active member of The Red Hattitudes of Wharton as well as the Wharton Seniors and the Seniors of St. Mary’s. She was an active Parishioner at St. Cecilia’s Church in Rockaway. She was a wonderful wife, a loving and devoted mother and true and loyal friend to so many.
She is predeceased by her husband of 46 years Nicholas D’Atria. She is survived by her children: son Richard and his wife Suzanne, and grandson John Williams; her daughter Teresa Bolger and husband Robert and her beloved grandchildren Michael Bolger (fiancée Natasha) and Brittany Bolger; her sisters in law Virginia Kaplafka and Maryanne Marchese, as well as many nieces, nephews and grand nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held 4-8pm on Wednesday, March 10, 2021 at the Bermingham Funeral Home, 216 S. Main St., Wharton.
A funeral Mass will be held 10am on Thursday at St. Cecilia’s Church, 90 Church St, Rockaway, NJ 07866.
Interment will follow at St. Cecilia Cemetery, Rockaway.
