Susan Steitz Obituary

Randolph: Susan Louise Steitz passed away peacefully on January 25, 2023 at the VNA Hospice, Dover General Hospital, after a long illness. She was 77. She was a wonderful mom and grandmother, and deeply loved by her family. She also had many friends throughout her life and was well-loved at her senior housing community.

Sue was born in Orange NJ to the late Wallace A. Steitz and Ethel A. Bell, and raised in South Orange, NJ. She lived her whole life in NJ, including Vernon, Wharton, Hackettstown, and most recently Randolph.

She attended Columbia High School, and worked as an electronics solderer, retiring after 13 years with HAZ Laboratories in Washington NJ.

Sue's favorite memories were of spending her childhood summers in Seaside Park, NJ with her beloved grandmother and her cousin Billy. She enjoyed dancing, gardening, puzzles, arts and crafts, reading, and spending time with her family and many friends.

Sue is survived by her daughters Donna Gold (husband Elliot), Wendy Reitzel (husband Anthony Montes), her grandchildren Eric, Haley, Antonio and Diego, and many nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her first husband Jack Reitzel, her second husband Donald Gross, and her brother Paul Steitz. 

Services will be private.
