Steven David Dickinson, 66, born on November 18, 1957, in Belleville, NJ, passed away on May 9, 2024, in Wharton, NJ, after a courageous battle with Glioblastoma. He was the beloved son of Betty (Wiener) and Adelbert Dickinson.
Steven was a devoted family man, and is survived by his loving wife of 33 years Karina Dickinson, his children Robyn (Troy Weygandt), Brianna, and Kaleen, as well as his beloved grandchildren Clover, Shawn and Emelia Ann, his sister Jayne (Art) Bremner, and mother in law Lois Kempf as well as a host of nieces, nephews and cousins. He also leaves behind his cherished dogs Amber, Trent, and Bronx. He was preceded in death by his parents, Betty and Adelbert Dickinson, and his brother, R. Alan Dickinson.
In September 1990 Steven met Karina at the NJ Fireman’s Convention in Wildwood NJ. On October 19, 1991, Steven married the love of his life in Rockaway, NJ, and together they built a beautiful life filled with love, laughter, and cherished memories.
Steven dedicated 17 years of his life to DMI Personal Care as an IT Administrator where he was respected and loved by colleagues and clients alike. He was a committed member of various organizations including the NJ Bronco Club, which he co-founded, Tri-State Broncos, and Cops n Rodders.
In his free time, Steven found joy in pursuing his hobbies and interests, which included anything Ford, F150s, his Ford Bronco, off-roading, biking, boating, technology, tracing his ancestry, tinkering in his workshop, gun enthusiast and doomsday prepping. His passion for these activities brought him closer to friends and allowed him to explore the great outdoors. He lived life to the fullest.
Steven loved to share a good steak, a good cigar, some Pinch, and good conversation with anyone.
Known for his sharp wit and wicked sense of humor, Steven was a loving husband, a fierce protector of his family, a mentor, and a great friend to many, He will be remembered for his infectious laugh and his ability to help anyone in need. He was smart and could build almost anything whether it was for his Fords or computers. He touched the lives of many with his kindness, generosity, and unwavering support.
A funeral service to honor and celebrate Steven's life will be held on Saturday, May 18, 2024, from 12:00 PM until 3 PM followed by a service. He will be dearly missed by all who knew him, but his memory will live on in the hearts of those he loved and who loved him in return. May he rest in peace.
