Stanley J. Apgar, Sr.

Wharton:  Stanley J. Apgar, Sr. passed away on December 16, 2020 at Regency Grande Nursing Center after a short illness.  He was 88 years of age.

Stanley was born and raised in Newark, moving to Wharton in 1970.  He lived in Toms River for many years before returning to Wharton 2 years ago.

Mr. Apgar worked for Ideal Dairy of Union, the Budd Lake Road Department and Ocean Twp in the same capacity, retiring 23 years ago.

He was a member of the Wharton American Legion Post #91.

Predeceased by his wife Louise in 1982.

Survived by three sons:

Stanley, J., Jr. of Dover.

Thomas P. of Dover.

Douglas R. and wife Deborah of Mt. Hope.

Four Grandchildren:

Stanley Apgar, Robert Apgar, Jennifer VanNatta & Samantha Apgar.

Two Great Grandsons:  Michael & Sean.

Siblings:  Robert and wife Arlene of Plainfield.

                 Margaret Cunningham of Port St. Lucie, FL.

And many nieces & nephews

Visitation will be held 9-11am on Tuesday, December 22, 2020 at the Bermingham Funeral Home, 216 S. Main St., Wharton.

A funeral service will be held 11am at the funeral home after the visitation.

Interment will follow at Restland Memorial Park, E. Hanover.
