Shirley Ann Morrice, age 83, of Mine Hill NJ, passed peacefully on January 23, 2024.
She was born on Oct. 24, 1940 in Morristown NJ, and was raised in Rockaway NJ. She graduated Morris Hills HS Rockaway in 1958. She entered the Sisterhood and was a Teacher at St. Mary's in Denville, NJ.
She left the Sisterhood after 10 years because of her desire to travel and see the world, which she saw most of. She especially loved going on Cruises. She was an Administrative Assistant most of her life and retired 20 years ago. She lived in Wharton, Mine Hill and Ledgewood before settling back in Mine Hill to live with her nephew and his wife.
Shirley was the middle child of 3 children, and was predeceased by her Parents John and Anne Morrice, her Brother, Richard Morrice, and in 2018 by her beloved Sister, Patricia "Patty" Morrice Konyok, and as an animal lover, her many pets that she loved.
She is survived by her nephew Douglas Konyok and his wife Denise Dugan Konyok, nieces Rebecca Morrice Starke, Desiree Morrice and nephew Shawn Morrice.
Also survived by 2 special cousins, Sue Aber of Mansfield and Bill Aber, and special friends Dottie and Dodie whom she loved talking on the phone and going out to lunch. Also a special thanks to her Doctor, Andreas Rotsides whom she adored.
She was a very giving person and will be missed.
Arrangements are private, in lieu of flowers donations to any animal rescue of your choice would be appreciated.
