Randolph: Sharon Ann Kurt-Maka ( Dickerson) passed away suddenly at St. Clare’s Hospital/Dover General on Saturday, July 15, 2023. She was 72 years of age.
Sharon was born and raised in Dover, moving to Randolph where she spent most of her years.
Mrs. Kurt-Maka was a longtime waitress, serving people with a smile at Roxbury Diner. She previously worked at Rose's Luncheonette in Mine Hill & as a corporate caterer at Drinker, Biddle & Reath LLP in Florham Park.
She loved to dance, frequent the slot machines at the casinos and enjoyed spending time with her family and friends. She could always make everyone laugh.
Predeceased by her father, Frank Dickerson, and her two brothers Robert & Richard Dickerson.
Survived by:
Her mother, Wilma (née Wyckoff) Dickerson.
Two children: Stephen Maka and his companion Christine McNichol.
Deanna Maka and her husband David Dickerhoff.
Also survived by her family friend, Jim , ex-husband Paul Maka, Sister-in-law Kathi Dickerson and nieces & nephews.
A memorial visitation will be held 2-5pm on Saturday, July 29, 2023 at the Bermingham Funeral Home, 216 S. Main St., Wharton, followed by a funeral service at the funeral home.
Interment will be private.
