Roy’s lifelong passion was being a Firefighter, both as a volunteer for the Wharton Fire Department and as an employed Firefighter/EMT at Morristown Airport. He loved skiing and shooting sports.
Roy is survived by the love of his life, his wife Kristine Anker-Kaufmann and their three children of whom he was very proud. Jennifer Anne Kaufmann (33) and partner Michael Te-Djane of Newark, NJ, Michael Patrick Norton Kaufmann (28) and Elizabeth Marion Kaufmann (22), both of Wharton, NJ.

Christine and Frederick (Rick) Hammitt of Madison, NJ; Anna May Donnelly of San Francisco, CA; Francis Bret and Theresa (Teri) Kaufmann of Spring Lake, NJ; Clare and Peter Fittin of Wall, NJ; George Kaufmann of Dunellen, FL; and Mary Jean and John Gerry of Budd Lake, NJ. And his sister-in-law and brother-in law Kathleen and James (Jim) Farrell of Flemington, NJ.
Roy (Pop Pop) is also survived by his granddaughter Madeline June Te-Djane and his many nieces and nephews and great-nieces and great-nephews.
Roy was loved in life and will be deeply missed by his family and friends. We ask that his memory be honored by requesting that you spend time enjoying life to the fullest with your loved ones.
