Succasunna: Rosemary Sugrue (nee Fox), age 93, of Succasunna NJ, passed away peacefully on Thursday, August 14, 2025. Born June 8th, 1932 in Newark to the late John, Sr. and Mayabelle Fox, Rosemary moved to Whippany, NJ in 1972 to lovingly raise her family. In their retirement, Rosemary and her late husband, Bill, moved to Toms River, NJ in 1995.
Rosemary was a graduate of Westside High School in Newark. She proudly worked as an executive secretary until her retirement in 1995. Rosemary happily dedicated her time to spending time with her beloved children, grandchildren, and nieces. She enjoyed taking them on various childhood adventures, and was always happy to spend time at the boardwalk, bowling, and celebrating birthdays and holidays. In 2023, Rosemary moved to Merry Heart Assisted Living in Succasunna, NJ, where she enjoyed collecting her winnings at bingo and poker.
Rosemary will be abundantly missed and fondly remembered for her sense of humor, kindness, attention to detail, sweet tooth, and her loving presence.
Rosemary was predeceased by her loving husband of 66 years, William. She is also predeceased by her brother, Jack Fox, her son-in-law, Patrick Corcoran, and several lifelong friends.
Rosemary is survived by her daughter, Kathleen, and her son, Bill (Peggy). Rosemary leaves behind 5 grandchildren, Patrick, Shanna (Luke), Emily (Kyle), Daniel, and Kelly, and 3 great grandchildren, Teagan, Ryleigh, and Jordan. She is also survived by her sister and brother-in-law, Maureen and Ken White, as well as 3 nieces, Cheri, Michele, and Kristen.
In lieu of flowers, Rosemary's family kindly suggests donations to the Holiday Heights First Aid Squad at 120 Prince Charles Drive in Toms River. A memorial mass will be held on Saturday, October 4th at 12:00 PM at Saint Maximilian Church located at 130 Saint Maximilian Lane, Toms River
