Roberta Helen Somers

Rockaway Township:  Roberta Helen Somers of Rockaway Township passed away June 28th 2024 at Morristown Memorial Hospital.  Roberta was born October 16th 1942 in Dover NJ to George C. Somers, Sr. & Stella E. Somers.  Roberta graduated from Morris Hills HS in 1960.  She went on to graduate from St. Michael’s Hospital Nursing School in 1963 and spent her entire career as a registered nurse retiring from St. Barnabus Hospital in Livingston NJ in 2011.

Roberta will be loved and missed by everyone she knew.  Her big heart and spirit made her special indeed.  She was a dog lover for all her life, a turtle owner & she was chef-like in the food she cooked and shared with family, friends and pets!

Roberta is survived by:

Sister:  Carol.

Brother:  George, Jr. & wife Patricia.

Sister:  Elaine & husband Gordon.

Nephews:  George III & wife Jennifer, Scott, Nicholas & Travis and wife Lyndsey.

Grand nephews:  Douglas & fiancée Angelina, George IV & Matthew.

Grand nieces:   Emily, Dillon & Zoe.

Great Grand nephew:   Lucas.
