He is survived by his loving wife of 26 years, Jacqueline M. (Waller), Brother, Brian J. Snyder (Leigh), nephews Brian, Michael and Chance. Sister-in-law, Rebecca (Snyder) Paulson, nephews John E. Snyder III (Christine), Nicholas K. Snyder (Rocio), great nieces Sage and Amber Snyder.

He graduated from Morris Hills High School in 1962. Upon graduating, he worked 40 years at John E. Snyder, Inc. Plumbing and Heating keeping track of inventory and stock, before retiring in 2002.

He was a member of the Wharton United Community Church at St. John’s in Wharton, NJ.

He was a proud, free and accepted Mason of North Star Lodge #255 F&AM in Wharton. As a distinguished brother, he was awarded the white apron in 1998. He became a Master Mason of Acacia Lodge #20 being awarded his 55-year pin on 6/16/25.

His life, though lived with cerebral palsy, was a testament to his strength and determination. Although not able to physically participate in sports, he stayed involved by being a varsity manager for Basketball and Baseball during his high school years. After high school, he continued to share his talents by being a coach and manager of the Benson Real Estate baseball team, a Major Division of the Dover Junior Baseball League for many years, bringing them to four first place championships in four years! He also loved bowling and belonged to a league at Dover Lanes.

He was fortunate to do some extensive traveling including a cross-country trip of the US, many Caribbean cruises and a trip of a lifetime to Austria, Germany, France, and Monte Carlo.

He was a lifelong, diehard NY Yankees and Jets fan, watching and attending countless games. He was an avid fan of his great nieces, Sage and Amber, attending many of their softball games as they progressed from t-ball, recreational, travel and high school teams. Most recently he could be seen on the sidelines cheering on Sage as she continued her softball career as a member of the Moravian University “Greyhounds” softball team.
