Robert McCurdy Obituary

Rockaway Twp.: Robert L. McCurdy passed away on Sunday, January 26, 2020 at St. Clare’s Hospital/Dover General. He was 89 years of age.

Robert was born in Newark and raised in East Orange. He lived in Bedminster from 1955 to 1977 before moving to Wantage and settling in Rockaway Twp. in 2001.

Mr. McCurdy was in the Marketing and Sales Department for NJ Bell of Newark and retired in 1983 after 34 years of service. He became a gentleman farmer in his retirement.

He was a member of the First Presbyterian Church of Rockaway and the Telecom Pioneers.

Predeceased by his wife Jane Leach McCurdy and sons Robert W. and Walter L.

Survived by his son William and wife Nancy of Wantage and his daughter Linda McCurdy Miller of Florida.

Also survived by seven Grandchildren and seven Great Grandchildren.

Services will be private.
