Robert Allen, Sr Obituary

Landing: Robert W. Allen, Sr. died peacefully at home on Tuesday, April 7th, 2009. He was 75.

Born and raised in Scranton, PA, he attended South Scranton High School and lived in Landing for the past 49 years.

Mr. Allen was a machinist and had worked for Cameron Machine Co., Dover for 20 years and then for Somerset Technology for a period of 10 years. He retired from General Industrial Diamond Co., Whippany in 1996.

Member of the Roxbury Fire Co. #2, the Roxbury Firemen's Exempt Association and the NJ Firemen's Exempt Association.

Survived by his wife of 54 years: Nancy (Schmidt)

Two Sons: Robert W., Jr. of Mt. Olive

Gary T. of Long Valley

Four Grandchildren: Stephanie, Taylor, Bridget and Natalie.

Visitation will be held on Friday, 3-5 & 7-9 PM at the Bermingham Funeral Home, 216 S. Main St. Wharton. Funeral service will be held 10 AM Saturday at the funeral home. Interment will follow at Pequest Union Cemetery, Great Meadows.
