Phyllis Elaine (Moore) Babus

Chester Township:  Phyllis Elaine Babus (née Moore) passed away peacefully with her family by her side at Morristown Medical Center on Wednesday, November 1st, 2023 after a long battle with cancer.  She was 88 years of age.

Born in Dover, NJ in 1935 to the late Alfred and Myrtle Moore.  She lived in Chester for the past 64 years in the home that her and her husband (Stephen Babus) built.

Mrs. Babus worked for Beneficial Management as a Communication Coordinator Receptionist for 25 years before retiring.

She loved to play the guitar and sing country music with her husband.  They played in several bands in the area.  Phyllis loved to bake and cook.  She enjoyed caring for her flower gardens.

She was predeceased by:

Her Son:   Ronald L. Babus.

Her parents: Alfred L. Moore and Myrtle (Banghart) Moore.

Two Brothers:  Alfred Moore, Jr. & Ronald L. Moore.

Phyllis leaves behind her husband of 69 years (October 30, 1954) Stephen R. Babus.

Sons; Stephen Babus and his wife Jeanette of Florida.

          Dale Thieleman of Chester.

Daughters:  Phyllis Reno and husband Nicholas of Little Egg Harbor.

                    Darlene Turner of Chester.

Also survived by 9 grandchildren, 19 great grandchildren and many nieces & nephews.

Burial and services will be held at a later date.
