Peter F. Regan

Denville:  Peter F Regan, 91, passed way peacefully in his home in Denville N.J. on December 26th, 2023

Pete was youngest of three boys of Dominick J. and Mary J. Regan born in 1932. His two brothers John "Jack" and James "Jim" along with Pete loved the big bands and each played a brass instrument. 

Pete was a proud fullback for the New Jersey high school state champions of 1949, Montclair Mounties. He attended Georgetown but graduated from Notre Dame in 1954. Pete was a walk-on for the football team at ND. He was ironically in the stands with his former roommate and long time friend, Dick O'Donnell while they filmed "Rudy", a famous Notre Dame walk-on. Years later he met Rudy.

After Notre Dame, Pete joined the Air Force and was stationed at Okinawa, Japan.  He came home for his father's funeral and met his wife, Patricia née Klase. They married in 1959 and have been together for sixty five years. Pete sold newsprint in the mid-west and was fortunate to travel all over America with Patricia. 

Pete is survived by his wife Patricia, sons Pete, Jr. and Paul daughter Michele and predeceased by his son Gary.

He will forever be in their hearts and thoughts.

Pete was cremated and his ashes will be interred in the Spring
