Hopatcong: On Saturday, February 17, 2024, Peter Prymak, 90, passed away at home surrounded by loved ones. He was born on March 1, 1933 in Poland and was of Ukrainian descent. He immigrated to the United States with his family in 1950 and lived in New York City prior to moving to Hopatcong, NJ where he and his wife raised their family and later retired.
Peter was a founding member of Holy Trinity Orthodox Church in Randolph, NJ and was a long-time choir member as well.
He is survived by his wife Brenda.
His four children: Peter (Lori), Tania, Helen (Andrew), and Matthew.
His eleven grandchildren: Ethan, Zackory, Kyle, Tyler, Kayla, Katie, Kaylynn, Liam, Sebastian, Vivian, and Evelyn.
Sisters-in-law Liala Prymak (Leonard, dec.) and Nancy Prymak Pratt (Charles, dec.); brother-in-law Charles Ralicki (Jeanne).
He is also survived by many nieces, nephews, and their children.
He is predeceased by his parents Eliash and Juliana; his brothers Leonard and Rostislaw Prymak; his sister Anna Lutarewych; his cousin Rostislaw Prymak; and a nephew Joshua Prymak.
Visitation will be held 4:30pm to 6:30pm on Thursday, February 22, 2024 at the Bermingham Funeral Home, 216 S. Main St., Wharton, NJ 07885.
A funeral service will be held 9:30am on Friday, February 23, 2024 at Holy Trinity Orthodox Church, 120 Dover Chester Road, Randolph, NJ 07869.
Interment will follow at St. Vladimir's Russian Orthodox Cemetery, Jackson, NJ.
