Peter John Deliz Castrello passed away peacefully March 15, 2026 at Mount Sinai Morningside Hospital. He was 87 years old.
Peter was born in San Juan, Puerto Rico, moving to New York City, where he met his loving wife. Peter was an actor, singer and writer. He was involved with Miriam Colón’s Puerto Rican Traveling Theatre; an off Broadway venue, located in Hell’s Kitchen, New York City neighborhood. His passion for writing led him to publish numerous poems and plays. He loved going to the Lincoln Center Library for research and going to church with his wife.
Peter is survived by his loving wife Barbara Ann Keller, his son, Joseph Deliz, his daughters, Tina-Marie Pagán (h. William Pagán), Stacey Hanna (h. Craig Hanna), brothers Neville and David Deliz, and his many grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Peter was predeceased by his parents, Pedro and Ana Deliz and his brothers, Ashley and Dennis Deliz.
A graveside service and burial will be held 10:30am on Saturday March 21, at Locust Hill Cemetery in Dover, NJ.
