Patricia Ann (Mench) Holbig

Ewing, NJ:  Patricia A. Holbig passed away on Sunday, June 20, 2021 at her daughter's home, surrounded by family. She was 66 years of age.

Patricia was born in Queens, NY where she lived until moving to Wharton, NJ in 1963. She attended Morris Hills High school and graduated from Trenton State College.  Upon graduating college she moved to the Trenton area where she continued to reside and work in.

Ms. Holbig worked at Mercer County Board of Social Services as a social worker for several years before working for the State as a social worker with the Division of Youth and Family Services, retiring as a supervisor. She loved being able to help those in need.

Her biggest passion and accomplishment was being a mother and a grandmother.  She dedicated many years to being a stay at home mother before resuming her career. She loved being Nana to her grandchildren ….it brought her so much joy.

She was predeceased by her parents Edward Mench and Jean (nee Kelly).

Patricia is survived by her four children; Brian Holbig, Laura Matthews and her husband Jim, Sarah Holbig and her partner Chris Hendrickson, and Justin Holbig and his wife Lindsay, five grandchildren; Paige, Abby, Brenna, Riley, and Charlotte, two sisters; Karen Cubero and husband John, and Maryann Jannucci and husband Mark, also survived by a niece and several nephews.

Visitation will be held 4-7pm on Wednesday, June 23, 2021 at the Bermingham Funeral Home, 216 S. Main St., Wharton.

A funeral service will be held 10am on Thursday, June 24, 2021 at the funeral home.

Interment will follow at St. Mary's Cemetery, Mine Hill.
