Norma Christine Wood

Roxbury Twp:  Norma Christine Wood, age 89, passed away on Monday, February 17, 2020.

Norma was born to the late Robert Wood and Thelma Francis (née Lawrence) on January 17, 1931 in the Bay Ridge section of Brooklyn, NY.  She was raised in Brooklyn and has lived in Bergen County, NJ, Sussex County, NJ, Florida and for the past 20 years she has resided with her daughter Louise Donegan and son-in-law Colin in the Lower Berkshire Valley section of Roxbury Twp.

Norma was a homemaker and was dedicated to raising her four children. Norma was an amazing artist and loved playing the guitar for many years. The past several years she enjoyed spending time with her great grandchildren whom she dearly admired.

Her three children:

Louise Donegan and husband Colin of Roxbury Twp.

Albert Richardson and wife Lorrie of Mound City, SD.

Lydia Huggins of Gainesville, FL.

Eight Grandchildren:

Erin Murphy, Megan Bell, Sean Donegan, Christopher Donegan, Michelle Belanger, Paul Huggins, Wendy Casey and Tommy Huggins.

Also survived by six great grandchildren and two great great granchildren.

Norma was preceded in death by her parents;  daughter, Christine Casey; son-in-law, Thomas Casey and sister, Elizabeth (Betty) Freiwald.

A memorial visitation will be held at the Bermingham Funeral Home, 216 S Main St., Wharton NJ 07885 on Monday, February 24, 2020 from 6:00pm - 8:00pm.

A memorial service will be held 7:30pm during the visitation.
