In Loving Memory of Nicholas P Cutter
Nicholas P. Cutter passed away on August 13, 2024 from Parkinsons Disease, with the onset of dementia and cerebral vascular disease. He passed away in Florida where he had been retired for the last 8 years.
He met his wife (Jacqueline M Hartley) when they were in 8th grade. They dated throughout high school and were married in 1968. They would have celebrated their 57th anniversary this upcoming October 26th•
They both worked side by side in Cutters Deli and Vesta Controls which were both destroyed by the gas explosion on January 10, 1984. He also briefly ran a laundromat and ice cream parlor (primarily to give his dad something to do when he retired.) While being a Wharton business owner, he was President of the Wharton Businessmen's Association for a period. After being a business owner for many years, he became a loan officer for Mortgage Access-later known as Weichert Financial for 25 years before finally retiring a few years ago.
Nick loved golf. He was part of the "Bolt Brothers" and they know who they are (Picatinny Golf Outing) in a thunderstorm. Nick loved to fish and go to Lake Ontario to fish in his boat. He had a lifelong love of camping which started when their daughters were young. He had an amazing knack for fixing ANYTHING and if he didn't know how, he would figure it out. He was always there for anyone in need.
He is survived by his loving wife Jacqueline; his daughter Maria Cutter Russo and husband Jim (Wharton); his daughter Malissa Cutter King and her husband Gary (Clark, NJ); granddaughter Ashley Russo, grandsons Anthony Russo, Gary King Ill and Nicholas King (named after his grandfather.)
A celebration of Nick's life will be held on Saturday, August 16, 2025, at the Bermingham Funeral Home, 216 S. Main Street, Wharton, NJ 07885 from 1pm to 4pm
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Nicholas's memory to the Michael J Fox Parkinson's Foundation.
