In Loving Memory of Nelly Ivos
Wharton: It is with heavy hearts that we announce the peaceful passing of Nelly Ivos, who left us in her sleep early this morning of July 5, 2025, after a lengthy battle with cancer.
Nelly was a woman of quiet strength and deep devotion—especially to her beloved family and the dogs who were her constant companions and loyal friends. Her love was steady, her presence comforting, and her warmth felt deeply by all who knew her.
She had a special fondness for the color pink—something that, in her honor, now carries new and beautiful meaning for those she leaves behind. A color that once seemed simple now feels full of memory, softness, and the brightness she brought into our lives.
She is survived by her beloved children, Nicholas Ivos and Amanda Ivos, who carry forward her strength, kindness, and unwavering love. She is also deeply mourned by her loving partner of over a decade, George Minto, whose companionship brought joy and comfort to her life.
Nelly is lovingly remembered by her brother, Eric Kervran, his wife Carmelina, and their children Maria and Vincenzo.
She was born in Gourin, France and immigrated to the United States at age 11 with her beloved parents, Yves and Jeanine Kervran, who she now joins in eternal rest—a reunion filled with love, peace, and light. She was proud to have learned the language and to begin a family in this country and her legacy may carry on through her spirit.
Though words feel small in a moment like this, we remember Nelly for the joy she shared, the love she gave so freely, and the quiet ways she made life better just by being part of it.
Per her request, there will not be any services at this time. In lieu of services, a donation to the American Cancer Society in Nelly’s name would be a meaningful way to honor her memory and the causes she cared about.
She will be deeply missed and forever loved.
