Mildred B. (Baker) Law

Mt. Arlington:  Mildred Baker Law passed away on Thursday, December 2, 2021 at Merry Heart Nursing Home.  She was 90 years of age.

Mildred was born on January 10, 1931 to the late Charles & Martha Byle Baker in Wilkes Barre, PA.  She was a longtime resident of Mine Hill, NJ where she raised her family. She and Horace retired to Anderson, SC. where they were able to enjoy 30 years of retirement. They loved to travel and were lucky enough to visit every state in the U.S.

After the death of her husband Horace W. Law, Jr., Mildred returned to Mt. Arlington residing at Carriage Club where she enjoyed her time spent with her many friends playing dominoes, cards and all their social events. Returning to New Jersey gave her the opportunity to spend time and enjoy her family especially her grandchildren and great grandchildren.

Mildred was a graduate of Roxbury HS and retired from Dover Industrial Supply Co. and Morris School District.  She volunteered as an income tax preparer for AARP and VITA for 25 years as well as volunteered at the Mine Hill Presbyterian Church thrift store. 

She was a member and Past Matron of Pearl (Purity) Chapter #79 OES, the Mine Hill Presbyterian Church, Roberts Presbyterian Church (Anderson, S.C.) and Mt. Arlington Seniors.

Survived by:

Her Sons:  Thomas and wife Kathy (Pennsylvania)

                  H. William and wife Dianna, (Arizona)

Daughter:  Patricia Craven and husband John, (New Jersey)

Sister:        Marjorie Thacker, (Virginia)

Mildred is also survived by her grandchildren:

Nicole Pisano (Justin), Thomas Law (Breanne), Scott Law (Ellie), John Michael Craven (Katherine), Kelly Westbrook( Jeremy), Christopher Law, Beth Beardsley, Laura Duffield (Justin), Ryan Frye, Eric Frye (Britta) and Craig Frye (Briana), as well as 14 great grandchildren.

 A memorial service will be held 11am on Saturday,  April 30, 2022 at the Wharton United Community Church,  20 Church Street,  Wharton,  NJ 07885.

In lieu of flowers donations to the Mine Hill Presbyterian Church in her memory would be greatly appreciated.
