Michael James Igoe

Sparta:  On March 5, 2023, Michael J. Igoe of Sparta, NJ, passed away at the age of 75.

Michael was born on March 9, 1947 in Newark, NJ, to Michael and Mary (Furey) Igoe. A former resident of Orange, Rockaway Borough, and Wharton, Michael was a supporter of various local police and fire departments. He also enjoyed playing Santa Claus at various community events.

The oldest of six children, he was predeceased by his parents.

Michael is survived by sisters Marion Jarkovsky of Cedar Knolls, NJ, and Patricia Igoe Bluemel of Evanston, WY; brothers John of Catonsville, MD, Edward of Palm Harbor, FL, and Joseph of New York, NY; and six nieces and nephews.

A memorial Mass will be celebrated at 10:30 A.M. on Monday, April 24, at St. Cecilia’s Church in Rockaway, followed by interment at St. Cecilia’s cemetery
