Maxima Despo Arcibal, age 65, died in a tragic car accident on November 21, 2023. She is survived by her four children, who made up the entirety of her world, Elliot, 43, Mau, 44, Cel (Ineng) 39 and Nholiboy (Utoy), 37.
Maxima was a midwife in the Philippines. She migrated in the United States in 2004 and pursued her career as a compassionate caregiver for 19 years.
She loved to cook and share her favorite dishes to her friends and coworkers. She was an avid party goer who graces each occasion with her unending stories and humor.
Besides her children, Maxima is survived by her mother, Trinidad Abellera, her sibling, Use Balinton, her most treasured grandchildren, Urich, Terrenz, Criszella, Cedric, Agatha and several nieces, nephews, cousins and many friends.
Visitation will be held 4-8pm on Tuesday November 28th, at the Bermingham Funeral Home, 216 S. Main St., Wharton, NJ 07801. A Funeral Mass will be held 10am on Wednesday November 29th, at St Therese Church in Succasunna. Interment will follow at Succasunna Presbyterian Cemetery.
Following the interment, a potluck lunch will be served at Maxima’s residence at 289 Mt. Hope Ave, T-13, Dover, NJ 07801.
In lieu of flowers, the family is asking for donations toward Maxima’s burial expenses.
