Mary Hocking Obituary

Wharton: Mary Louise Hocking (née Perry) passed away at her home on Thursday, June 25, 2020 with her family at her side. She was 84 years of age.

Mary was born in Andover and was raised in Franklin, NJ. She married William T. Hocking who predeceased her last year in 1957, settling in Wharton.

Mrs. Hocking was a school crossing guard in Wharton for 23 years, retiring in the late 70’s.

Mary enjoyed arts & crafts, gardening, sewing and reading.

She is survived by her three children:

Donna and her companion Kevin Shore of Wharton.

Bill, Jr. of Wharton.

Thomas and his wife Paula of Mine Hill.

Two Grandchildren:

Cynthia Vorst and her husband Chris of Mt. Olive.

Billy Hocking of Mine Hill.

Also survived by two great grandchildren; Christopher & Cassidy Vorst.

A private burial will be held.
