Mark Robert Sauvageau

Mt. Arlington:   Mark Robert Sauvageau passed away after a short illness on May 26, 2026 at Newton Medical Center.  He was 67 years of age.

Mark was born and raised in Warwick Rhode Island to late Odee Sauvageau and Constance (Lachance) Sauvageau. After graduating from West Warwick High School, he went on to receive a BS in Health Service Administration from Providence College.  After college he moved to NJ in 1981 as a government intern, it is then when he met his wife Carla.  Mark and Carla lived in Mine Hill for many years then have lived in Mt. Arlington since 1995.  Mark worked at Picatinny Arsenal as Chief of Financial Opertions for 33 years retiring in 2014.  While working at Picatinny he earned is MBA at Fairleigh Dickinson University.  After retirement Mark was owner of Management ReSource Services, LLC.

He is survived by his wife and best friend Carla Sauvageau, son Nicholas Nagy and his wife Jennifer, two granddaughters, who are his pride and joy, Alyssa Nagy and Makayla Nagy, two brothers David Sauvageau and his wife Janice and Donald Sauvageau, sister-in-law Paula Bisceglia, nephews Paul Bisceglia and his wife Nicole, Gianni Bisceglia and his wife Jody, and Bryan Sauvageau. And many nieces and nephews.  He also leaves behind his loyal companion Macon.

Mark was an avid golfer and was so proud he made a hole in one in March 2004.  He loved sports especially his New England teams, Celtics, Red Sox and Patriots.  He loved boating with friends and frequenting the restaurants on Lake Hopatcong. Mark was also on the Board of Picatinny Credit Union and recently joined the Lake Hopatcong Elks Lodge.

Visitation will be held 2-5pm on Monday June 1, at the Bermingham Funeral Home, 216 S. Main St., Wharton.  Interment will be private.
