Marie (Skibluk) Fernandez

Wharton:  Marie Fernandez passed away on Saturday, April 17, 2021 at Regency Grande Nursing Center, Dover.  She was 84 years of age.

Marie was born in the Mt. Hope section of Rockaway Twp. and lived most of her life in Wharton.

Mrs. Fernandez was a Crossing Guard in Wharton, retiring in 1995 after many years of service.

She was a member of the Wharton First Aid Squad and St. Mary’s Church, Wharton.

Predeceased by her husband Anthony Fernandez Jr. and her son, Robert Michael Fernandez.

Survived by her dear children:

Son:  Anthony Fernandez and wife Karen.

Daughter:  Betty Tromba and husband Sam.

Also survived by five cherished grandchildren, nine beloved great grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be held 5-8pm on Wednesday, April 21, 2021 at the Bermingham Funeral Home, 216 S. Main St., Wharton.

A funeral mass will be held 11:30am on Thursday at St. Mary’s Church, Wharton.

Interment will follow at Locust Hill Cemetery, Dover.
