Mt. Olive, NJ: Marian Frances Lattig (nee Lynde) passed away peacefully on Thursday, July 9, 2020 at the Bentley Commons at Paragon Village after a long battle with Alzheimers. She was 90 years of age.
Born on July 21, 1929 in Wharton to the late Howard J. Lynde and Florence Lynde (nee Speck), Marian lived there until moving to Cranberry Lake, NJ. She also lived in Lanoka Harbor, NJ before moving to Stanhope, NJ in 2001. She has lived at the Bentley Commons at Paragon Village since 2016.
Mrs. Lattig worked at Stapling Machines Company of Rockaway, NJ as a secretary and later worked at (Cerberus) Pyrotronics in Cedar Knolls, retiring as a Production Planner.
Marian enjoyed performing with her line dancing friends, entertaining residents in surrounding nursing homes, was a member of the Red Hatters and also enjoyed square dancing with her husband Mike (Alton), who predeceased her in 2012. She was a former member of St. Mary’s Church, Wharton and the Catholic Daughters of St. Mary’s. Also a prior member of St. Michael’s in Netcong.
Marian is also predeceased by her brother Howard Lynde, II and her nephew Howard Lynde, III.
Marian is survived by her daughter Marybeth DiBernard and husband Wayne of Stanhope and son Barry Lattig and wife Diane of Staten Island, NY; grandchildren Jason Siciliano, Christopher DiBernard, Erin Fink (nee Lattig), and Jack Lattig. She is also survived by 6 great grandchildren.
Visitation will be held 9am to 10:30am on Saturday, July 11, 2020 at the Bermingham Funeral Home, 216 S. Main St., Wharton.
A funeral service will be held 10:30am at the funeral home.
Interment will follow at St. Mary’s Cemetery, Mine Hill.
