Margarita Suarez Obituary

Margarita “Gary” (Feliciano) Suarez known for her beautiful smile, contagious laugh, and devotion to her family passed away peacefully on Monday, April 24, 2023 surrounded by her loved ones. She was 67.

Margarita was born to Carlos and Carmen Feliciano on June 9, 1955 in Anasco, Puerto Rico, the town she so loved. She grew up with fond memories of her beautiful Island and moved to New Jersey.

She worked for over two decades at Howmet when she decided to solely devote her time to her family as a homemaker and care for her children, the hardest and most rewarding job of them all. She loved nothing more than being surrounded by her children, grand/great grandchildren, planting in the garden, sitting on her porch drinking Coca Cola in the Spring and Summer at her Wharton home, decorating, visiting Home Goods, and having breakfast at Missy’s Main Street Cafe. She was most proud of her family.

Margarita was an amazing and dedicated wife, mother, grandmother, daughter, sister, aunt, and friend. She is survived by her husband, Hector M. Suarez Sr., her children and their spouses Jessenia and Isidro, Karla and Hector, Carlos, Javier and Rosalyn, Mirella and Renzo, and Hector Jr., her grandchildren who knew her as “Mama,” Cristian, Gabriela, Liana, Sarah, Christopher, Ian, Makaylah, Ivory, Yesari and great grandchildren Alani and Sophia.

Aside from the children and grandchildren she adored, Margarita is survived by her mother, Carmen, her siblings Maria Luisa, Maria del Carmen, Migdalia, and Carlos, along with many loved nieces, nephews, and great nieces, and great nephews. She is predeceased by her father, Carlos “Chiqui”, who she is reunited with in heaven.

All who loved her will never forget her smile, laughter, her love of butterflies and fairies, and the magic of the holidays. Our real-life Golden Girl, our true Wonder Woman, you leave a legacy that will continue on. We are so proud of the journey you’ve fought, and your memories will live in our hearts forever. We love you, and we know you love us more.
