Margaret (Kovach) Porfido

Dover:  Margaret Porfido passed away peacefully in her sleep on January 18th, 2022. She was 96 year's young.

She grew up in the Prospect Point section of Lake Hopatcong, where she enjoyed all the great things the lake has to offer.

Margaret resided in Dover with her husband Alfonso Porfido, who predeceased her in April of 1996.

Margaret had a love of Perry Como, roller skating, bowling and Atlantic City. She was a fantastic cook, a wonderful housewife and hostess to her family and friends, who she loved to cook for often.

She is survived by her three Children:

Suzanne Seeger of Roxbury.

Linda Pritchard and husband James Pritchard of Roxbury.

Alfonso Porfido and wife Sharon of Lake Hopatcong.

Margaret is also survived by her eight Grandchildren:

Anthony Porfido and wife Lisa of Roxbury.

Jennifer Antonacci and husband Danny of Lake Hopatcong.

Jeffery Seeger of Roxbury.

Paul Porfido and wife Kate, their children Mackenzie and Michael of Mine Hill.

Samantha Greene and husband Adam, their children Austin and Lola of Mendham.

James Pritchard, Jr. of Oak Ridge.

Megan Prager and husband Marc of Green Township.

Joe Pritchard of Roxbury.

She was also survived by several nieces and nephews.

Margaret is now reunited with her seven siblings. Velma, Betty, Ann, Steve, Johnny, Henrietta and Paul.

A memorial service will be held in her honor at a later date.
