Lisa M. (Leskovac) Gloria

Lisa Maureen (Leskovac) Gloria, 63, of Mount Arlington, New Jersey, passed away peacefully at home and surrounded by her loving family on May 5, 2024.  Lisa was born in 1961 in Youngstown, Ohio.  Growing up, she showed Arabian horses in several regional events as an award-winning equestrian.  She also traveled to Eastern Europe during her teens, playing the tamburica. Lisa was a 1979 graduate of McDonald High School in Ohio and a 1985 graduate of the University of Southern Mississippi with a Bachelor of Science degree in Nursing.  While in college, she would meet a young medical student named Stephen Gloria, the man with whom she would spend the rest of her life.

Lisa and Stephen married in 1983 and lived in Florida and Mississippi before finally settling in New Jersey to raise their family. Lisa, a homemaker since 1989, loved gardening, reading, crafting, and home-decorating, but her greatest joy was her three children. She was the most loving wife, mother, mother-in-law, and daughter that anyone could have ever hoped for.

Lisa is predeceased by her father, David Leskovac (2018). She is survived by her husband of 40 years, Stephen; by her son, Daniel, and his wife, Kimberly; by her son, James, and his wife, Rochell; by her daughter, Jenna; and by her mother, Betty Ann (Toth) Leskovac.

A Memorial Visitation will be held 5-8pm on Thursday May 9, at Bermingham Funeral Home, 216 S. Main St., Wharton.  A Funeral Mass will be held 1pm on Friday May 10, at St. Therese Church in Succasunna.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Lisa’s honor to the Lustgarten Foundation for Pancreatic Cancer Research.
