Lillian June Miller of Lake Hopatcong, passed away peacefully at home surrounded by loved ones on September 28th. Born on June 17, 1934 in Dover, Lillian lived briefly on the west coast, but resided for most of her life in Lake Hopatcong with her family and her menagerie of pets. She is survived by her husband Donald, her children Karyn, Christopher and Jennifer, her brother Michael and her two cats Penny and Paizey.
Lillian loved and was beloved by her immediate and extended family. She looked forward to spending all holidays with everyone and was the queen of gift giving, even on the smallest of occasions.
Lillian enjoyed working well into her 80's, most of which was at Dover Accounting as office manager. She was a true lover of the arts spending most of her free time at The Barn Theatre community theater as producer for an astounding 54 shows as well as numerous "behind the scenes" roles over a span of 47 years. Lillian also enjoyed shining light on local artists by curating works for the "Art in the Lobby" exhibits. She never sought the spotlight for herself, but preferred to assist others to look their best in it. Lillian always looked her best on the sidelines though and will be fondly remembered by all who knew her for her many beautiful scarves and for her flair for wearing them. She remains on the Board of Trustees as Trustee Emeritus.
An encore celebration of her life will be held at her favorite venue, The Barn Theatre in Montville, NJ on at later date in the future and all are invited to attend.
Donations to The Barn Theatre can be made in lieu of gifts or flowers as the family feels that Lillian would appreciate this most.
