Kenneth "Ken" A. Glasson, 91, of Wharton, passed away peacefully at home on Friday, Sept. 2, 2022.
Ken was born in Dover on Feb. 8, 1931 and lived in several states growing up due to his father's military service. Ken was a corporal in the U.S. Army and served with the military police in Panama during the Korean War. He was a mechanical engineer at Picatinny Arsenal for many years before his retirement. He settled in Wharton with his wife, Theresa, where they raised three children.
Ken was active in the community with little league sports and was a member of the American Legion Post 91 in Wharton. In his younger days, he liked playing shuffleboard, pool, golf and recreational basketball and softball. He enjoyed trips to Vermont and family gatherings. He loved watching sports and enjoyed cheering on the New York Giants and Yankees. He was an avid reader and excellent at solving even the hardest crossword puzzles.
Ken is predeceased by his wife, Theresa, who died in 1999, his brother, Jim, and his son-in-law, Bob. He is survived by his son, Kenny; his daughters, Janice Comstock and Carol Stutzman (Ray); and his sister, Vera Atchison. He also leaves behind four loving grandchildren: Rob, Lori, David and Tracy.
Visitation will be held 5-8pm on Tuesday September 6, at the Bermingham Funeral Home, 216 S. Main St., Wharton. A Funeral Service will be held 10am on Wednesday at the Funeral Home. Entombment will follow at Locust Hill Mausoleum.
