Obituary

Mt. Arlington, NJ:  Karin (Chervenak) Monaco passed away on February 25, 2023 at University Hospital in Newark, NJ. She was 55 years old. Karin fought so hard waiting for a liver transplant all the way to the end. We are so grateful for the time we got to spend with her because of her fighting spirit. 

Karin was born and raised in Denville, NJ later moving to Rockaway, NJ and finally residing in Mount Arlington, NJ.

She was the proudest Grandmother to her three grandchildren Emma, Savannah and Logan Leonard. 

Karin was survived by her partner of 15 years, Al Naggy and his daughter Ashley. Her children Anthony Monaco, Shannon Leonard and husband Jay. Her sister Kimberly Conklin and husband Brian. Her nephews Joseph Conklin and his wife Lauren and their children Luke and Charlotte. Timothy Conklin and his wife Donna and their children Brian and Thomas.

Karin was predeceased by her parents Joseph and Madeline Chervenak , and many aunts, uncles and cousins and of course her beloved dog Daisy.

We will be holding a memorial service to celebrate Karin's life at the American Legion Post #390 (9 Legion Place Denville, NJ) on Saturday March 4, 2023 at 12pm. All are welcome to attend.
