Judy Ann (Fraizer) DeMott

Cedar Grove: Judy Ann DeMott passed away on Monday, March 13, 2023 at Complete Care Nursing home facility in Cedar Grove, NJ. She was 72 years of age.

Judy was born on September 18, 1950, in Newark, NJ to the late William Frazier and Nancy Reed. Judy was a Jersey girl and for most of her life she lived in Nutley, NJ.

Judy was a survivor and fought the good fight in her life despite her complex medical challenges. At the age of two she caught Polio and for most of her life struggled with walking and many physical pains and limitations. That did not stop Judy as she worked almost until retirement and raised two boys. She enjoyed her family and dedicated her life to them. She loved her granddaughters dearly and did the best she could with what she had. She was never one to complain despite all her challenges with medical issues.

Judy loved life, she always had a smile on her face and whatever little she had she always gave it away. Judy will always be remembered for her generosity, love, and kindness. She loved art, drawing, puzzles, bingo, playing computer games, cooking, and making everyone else happy. Her main goal in life was to make others happy and everyone in Complete Care Nursing Home always mentioned that she was always so kind and loving to everyone. She was always the person that made a friend wherever she went.

Predeceased by her late ex-husband Paul Richard DeMott in 2017.

Survived by:

Two sons: Joseph DeMott and wife Denise DeMott and grandchildren Tyler and Alanna DeMott.

Youngest son Paul Richard DeMott and his partner Gribel Diaz (Penny). Paul’s daughter Destiny Marie DeMott.

Ex-daughter in law who she adopted as a daughter Maria Menzel and her husband Anthony Menzel whom she also adopted as her son and granddaughter Destiny Marie DeMott and Gabriela Menzel.

Also Survived by her sisters Mona Barnes and Diana Frazier. Many nieces, nephews, and friends. 

A Memorial Service will be held at 1 pm on Sunday, March 26th 2023, at the Andover Presbyterian Church,15 Lenape Road, Andover, New Jersey 07821 that will be given by Abundant Love Christian Church Pastor Anthony Menzel and wife Maria Menzel.
