Joseph A. Stephenson

Franklin, NJ:  Joseph A. Stephenson, “LL Cool UJ” passed away peacefully at his home on Sunday, September 18, 2022 with his family at his side, after a 5 year battle with cancer.  He was 67 years of age.

Joseph was born in Jersey City and raised in nearby Bayonne.  He moved to the White Meadow Lake section of Rockaway Twp in 1989.  He moved to Pompton Plains in 1998 and recently to Franklin in 2016.

Mr. Stephenson was the Director of IT at Russ Berrie of Oakland, NJ and retired in 2011 after 30 years of service.

Predeceased by his parents, Ronald Ward Stephenson and Marie Gangemi.

Sister:  Linda Stephenson and her children;

                      JR Vankampen and his wife Nikki (their children:  Gianna, Dominic & Jaxon).

                      Joey Vankampen.

Sister:  Ann Bair and her children’

                Charlie Osborn.

                Traci Cooke (her children:  Madison, AJ, Lia, Bailey & Payton)

                Anna Bilak (her children:  Lilly, JoJo, Kane, Tyson & Jerry, Jr.)

                Dana Bilak.

Sister:  Debbie Brennan and her husband Steven and their children;

                Kevin Zuckerman and his wife Tineke (their children:  Harper, Logan & Jordan)

                Justin Stark and Fiancée Lexie.

Aunt (Godmother): Marge Donohue (Gangemi) and her Children:

                               Marc Donohue.

                               Lynn Ackerson and her husband Dan ( their children Anna & Riley).
 

Visitation will be held 4:00pm – 8:00pm on Wednesday, September 21, 2022 at the Bermingham Funeral Home, 216 S. Main St., Wharton, NJ 07885 with a funeral service to start at 7:30pm at the funeral home.

Interment will be private.
