Joseph L. Johnson

Jefferson Twp.:  Joseph L. Johnson passed away suddenly at home on Friday, June 8, 2018.  He was 52 years of age.

Joseph was born in Dover and lived in Jefferson Township his whole life.

Mr. Johnson was a Jefferson Township Police Officer, retiring after 30 years of service in February of this year as a Sergeant.

Joseph was a member of the P.B.A. Local 190, the  National Emerald Society and the Knights of Columbus, Joseph F. Lamb Council #5510 of St. Thomas the Apostle Roman Catholic Church in Oak Ridge.

Predeceased by his Father: Arthur Robert Johnson, Sr. in 1967.

Step-Father:  Nicholas R. Ciccone in 1996.

Survived by his three children:

                Matthew Johnson, Brittany Johnson and Kathryn Johnson.

His Mother:        Bernadette (nee Coppinger).

Two Brothers:   Arthur Johnson, Jr. and Nicholas Ciccone.

Also survived by his former wife and friend Charlanne Nosal and her family.

Visitation will be held 4-8pm on Tuesday, June 12, 2018 at the Bermingham Funeral Home, 216 S. Main St., Wharton.

A funeral service will be held 8pm on Tuesday, following the visitation.

Interment will be private.
