John McDonough

Mine Hill:  John McDonough passed away peacefully on March 10, 2026 at Care One Assisted Living in Parsippany, NJ. He was 66 years old.

John was born at St. Clares Hospital in Denville and lived in Mine Hill for the majority of his life.  He attended Roxbury High School and received an Associates Degree from County College of Morris.

He had a variety of jobs through the years working for Hilton, Sears, Verizon, and several security guard positions.

He loved his days at Care One, where he was affectionately known as Fuzzy!  He could be found wherever action was happening, with afternoon social time being his favorite. He was also an avid fan of the NY Giants, the Mets, and always anything NASCAR.

John was predeceased by his parents, Jean and Hubert McDonough.

He is survived by his sisters and brother-in-law, Ann Marie McGowan, Sherry Hoffman, and Art Hoffman, along with five nieces and nephews.  

He is also survived by a life time friend, Kenny Ross.

A service will be held later in the spring.
