John William Faust, Sr.

Mine Hill Township:  John W. Faust, Sr. passed away on Monday, May 26, 2025 at St. Clare’s Hospital/Denville.  He was 87 years of age.

John was born in Shamokin, PA, moving to Paterson then the Birchwood section of Rockaway Township and settled in Mine Hill.

He was a US Navy Reserve and Air Force Veteran as an A&E Mechanic on the C124 Aircraft, stationed at Dover Delaware Air Force Base.

Mr. Faust was a member of the Mine Hill Fire Department from 1965 until the present, holding several positions, including Engineer, Foreman, Assistant Chief and then Chief in 1977.

He was an avid softball player for many years and always loved the game.  John was active in Bow Hunting, muzzle loading and Shotgun and loved fishing as well.

He was predeceased by his wife Glenda who he married on January  31, 1959 and his mother, Laura when he was only 1 ½ years old and his father Harry at the age of 56.

He was also predeceased by his Brothers, Harry & Charles and his sisters, Bobby Ann & Joyce.

Survived by his son, John W. Faust, Jr. and his wife Sherry of Mt. Hope.

Two Grandsons:  Christopher and his wife Krista.

                            Taylor Faust.

Two Great Grandsons:  Brayden John & Bryce Harrison Faust.

Brother:  Don Faust

Sister:  Eve White

Also survived by many nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be held 4:00 pm to 5:30 pm on Monday, June 2, 2025 at the Bermingham Funeral Home, 216 S. Main St., Wharton.

A fireman’s service and military honors will be rendered during the visitation starting at 5:30pm

Interment will be private.
