Joann "Betty" (Warner) Carlson

Jefferson Twp.:  Joann “Betty” Carlson passed away peacefully at her home on Tuesday, December 29, 2020.  She was 91 years of age.

Joann was born in Newark and raised in East Orange, moving to the Lake Hopatcong section of the Township in 1973.

Mrs. Carlson was a telephone operator for Bell Telephone and retired from Pokorny Sales of Lake Hopatcong at the age of 70.

Joann was a member of Our Lady Star of the Sea Church and the Jefferson Twp. Seniors.  She enjoyed Acrylic Painting and playing Cards with her friends.

Predeceased by her husband Alf T. in 1996 and her sister Patty Nelson.

Survived by her two daughters; Melinda and Jill Carlson of Lake Hopatcong.

Granddaughter:  Kyle Mary McGuirk of Illinois.

Also survived by two sisters; Sheila Writt of Livingston and Pamela Warner of Bloomingdale.

A funeral mass will be held 9am on Saturday, January 2, 2021 at Our Lady Star of the Sea Church, 204 Espanong Road, Lake Hopatcong, NJ 07849.

Interment will follow at Hollywood Memorial Park, Union.
