Joan (Stark) Cullen

Succasunna:  Joan Cullen nee Stark passed away peacefully surrounded by family on April 19, 2021 at her home.

Joan was born in Dover on June 2, 1936 to the late Carold Stark and Jennie Stark nee Stevens. She grew up in Ledgewood and was a 1954 graduate of Roxbury High School.  She was a resident of Succasunna for 63 years.  She married her husband William Cullen Jr. in 1956 at St. Mary’s Church in Denville. Joan was a homemaker, Loving Wife, Mother, Grandmother and Sister.

She was predeceased by her Great-Grandson Elliott Grimes and Nephew Thomas Stark.

She is survived by her Husband of 65 years William D. Cullen Jr., Sons; William Cullen III (Maureen) and David Cullen, Daughters; Susan Cullen-Youakim (Bob), Christine Cullen-Reed (Thomas) and Amy Cullen-Salitsky(John), 11 Grandchildren; Joshua and Daniel Youakim, Carolyn Youakim-Grimes, Justin and Steven Cullen, Kaitlin and Julia Norris, Anthony Antonek, and John, Brett and Ryan Salitsky, 2 Great-Grandchildren; Benjamin and Theodore Youakim, 2 Brothers; Gerald Stark (Diana) and Robert Stark (Kathy) and many Nieces and Nephews.

Visitation will be held 5-8pm on Thursday at the Bermingham Funeral Home, 216 S. Main St., Wharton.  A Funeral Service will be held 11am on Friday at the Funeral Home. Interment will follow at Succasunna Presbyterian Cemetery.
