Jessie L. (Fleming) Rosa

Jessie L. Rosa passed away peacefully in her home with her family at her side on Friday, February 18, 2022.  She was 85.

Born in Memphis Tn. to Marie Fleming, Jessie was a resident of Wharton since 1960.

Jessie worked for the United States Postal Service for 25 years before retiring in 1987.  After retirement she worked at St. Clares Hospital in Dover because she "needed something to do." One of Jessie's favorite things to do was to go to Atlantic City.  She never cared if she won as long as she and everyone who went with her had fun. She also took great joy in babysitting for her grandsons.

Jessie held a special place in her heart for dogs.  The house was never without one.

Jessie is predeceased by her husband Luis M. Rosa Sr,. her son, Michael A. Rosa, and siblings O'neal Fleming, AnnaBell Williams, Dorothy Fleming and Frankie Bowden.

She is survived by her son Luis M. Rosa, Jr. (Julie), daughter Doris Lawrence, daughter Juanita Rosa(Robert Barbera), daughter Barbara Collins(Walter).

Also survived by grandsons William Lawrence, Michael Lawrence, Michael Rosa, Joseph Rosa, granddaughters Tracy Collins, Carla Collins, and 4 great grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be held 9-11am on Wednesday, February 23, 2022 at the Bermingham Funeral Home, 216 S. Main St., Wharton.

A funeral service will be held 11am at the funeral home after the visitation.

Entombment will follow at Restland Memorial Park, E. Hanover.
