Jerry Giannetti, 94, of Caldwell, NJ, peacefully passed away on November 21st, after a difficult battle with Alzheimer’s. He had been living in the Veterans Home in Paramus since moving back to NJ from FL in 2017.
Jerry was born on October 22, 1927, to Gerald and Alice Giannetti in Montclair, NJ. Jerry attended St. Aloysius in Caldwell and then enlisted in the Navy in 1944 and served until 1946. After his honorable discharge in 1946, he worked in machine shops with most of his career spent working for Howmet Corporation.
Jerry married Patricia Giannetti in 1948, and went on to have seven kids, Michael, Linda, Debra, Robert, John, James, and Susan. Jerry divorced and remarried in 1979 to Jeannie Robbins. Jerry and Jeannie enjoyed traveling with their dogs visiting National Parks across the United States.
Jerry retired from Howmet in 1992 after 37 years. After retiring, Jerry moved to Sunny Hills, FL where he and his second wife Jeannie built their dream home and enjoyed a quiet life.
Jerry was predeceased by his parents, Gerald and Alice, his sisters Rose and Joan and his wife Jeannie. He is survived by his seven children, 16 grandchildren and 9 great grandchildren and his brother Robert Giannetti. The family will be celebrating his life in a private ceremony in FL.
