James T. Samuel, III of Stillwater, New Jersey, passed away on June 18, 2022 at Newton Memorial Hospital. He was 62 years of age.
James was born on September 20, 1959 in Staten Island, New York to the late James T. Samuel, Jr. and Margaret Sherba Samuel. Jim was predeceased by his wife Robin Wisler Samuel in 2002. Jim had recently retired from a long career with BASF in Washington NJ.
Jim was an avid outdoors-man who inherited his love of fishing from his father. He was an accomplished angler, archer, bird and deer hunter and was happiest on the water or in the fields and woods. Over the years he hunted as far away as Canada and fished both salt and fresh water all over the eastern states. His annual hunting trips and charter boat excursions were enjoyed and looked forward to by his friends and family.
Jim is survived by his brother Gregory Samuel and his wife Donna, his sister Paula Samuel Mahoney and her husband John, stepmother Trish Samuel, nephews Gregory and Eric Samuel, nephews John Jr. and Daniel Mahoney, Aunt Verne Samuel, cousins Sonyia and John Woloshyn, and David Samuel. Along with his family, Jim will be greatly missed by his many friends, fishing, and hunting buddies.
A memorial visitation will be held 10am to 12 Noon on Wednesday, June 22, 2022 at the Bermingham Funeral Home, 216 S. Main St., Wharton, NJ 07885.
A memorial service will follow, 12 Noon at the funeral home.
Interment will be private.
In lieu of flowers, donations in Jim's memory to the St. Jude Children's Research Hospital would be appreciated.
