James D. DeAngelis

Dover:  James D. DeAngelis passed away on Thursday, July 20, 2023 at St. Clare’s Hospital/Denville after a short illness.  He was 80 years of age.

James, a lifelong resident of Dover, was born in Philadelphia, PA and moved here he was 3 yrs. old. 

He was in the first graduating class of Morris Catholic High School and received a bachelor’s degree in Pharmacy from Fordham University.

Mr. DeAngelis was a pharmacist, working in retail before retiring from Merck/Medco.  He also worked at Bertrand’s Island Amusement Park in the summers.

Survived by his sister Carolyn Mitzen, his nephew Ed Mitzen and wife Lisa & his niece, Christina Pfleiderer and her husband Jim.  Also survived by many Grand Nieces & Nephews.

A funeral Mass will be held 10am on Monday, July 24, 2023 at Sacred Heart Church, 4 Richards Ave., Dover, NJ 07801.

Interment will follow at Locust Hill Cemetery, Dover.
