James W. Belcher

Denville:  James W. Belcher passed away at home on Saturday, January 21, 2023.  He was 91 years of age.

James was born, raised and married in Meyersdale, PA moving to the White Meadow Lake section of Rockaway in 1959 and settling in Denville since 1969.

Mr. Belcher was a shop teacher at Morris Hills High School.  He helped to plan the building of Morris Knolls High School and was an industrial arts teacher there for 38 years, retiring in 1995.

James was a member of Union Hill Presbyterian Church of Denville and the Acacia Lodge #20 of Dover for 60 years.

He is survived by his wife Alice (Beck) of 67 years.

Two sons:

David and his wife Jeanine of Littleton, CO.

Alan of Succasunna.

Four Grandchildren:   Jason, Maddie, Maura & Nicole.

One Great Granddaughter:  Lila Rose, and another on the way.

Sister: Edna Good of Berlin, PA who is the last of 12 children.

Visitation will be held 4-7:30pm on Thursday, January 26, 2023 at the Bermingham Funeral Home, 216 S. Main St., Wharton.

A funeral service will be held at 7:30pm after the visitation, also at the funeral home.

Interment will be private.

In lieu of flowers, donations in James’ memory to American Heart Association, Tunnel to Towers foundation or Masonic Lodge #20 would be appreciated.
